During the month of October, we learned about The Farm Shop and set up a shop in our role play corner. We went for an Autumn Walk to spot the signs of Autumn. We read lots of stories including ‘Pumpkin Picking’, ‘The Oak Tree’, and ‘Ready, Steady, Ghost’. We learned lots of Nursery Rhymes such as; ‘Incy Wincy Spider’. ‘I saw a Little Ghost’ and, ‘Old MacDonald’. We also learned a new song for Halloween called ‘Crazy Witch’.
We played with playdoh and made Autumn and Halloween objects on our playdoh mats.
In Literacy and Numeracy, we played maths games on the iPads and played a game with Alfie the Alpaca! We learned how to write the numbers 1, 2, 3 and, 4 too.
We also played with farm toys and set up a farm.
For Art this month we painted pumpkins, designed a school uniform for the future, continued a photo of our school, to mark the 50th birthday of the school and we cannot wait to celebrate at the end of the month.
