The first day of March brought snow but March also brought us The Puppet Show!
In Aistear we set up the role play area at a Puppet Show. First, we had a show about ‘The Little Red Hen’. Then we had a show about ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We had our stage, audience, ushers, ticket seller and of course our puppeteers!
In the creative area we sequenced the story The Enormous Turnip and cut out our colourful pictures. We created our versions of The Little Red Hen with lots of colourful feathers! In the Small World Area, we made our own theatres from Lego and made a carpark for the cars and people to park when going to the theatre. In the Literacy/Numeracy area we used our whiteboards to practice writing letters and numbers and played games of snap with our new letters!
We also started Dance lessons with the brilliant Breda, went for a lovely Spring Walk and created Easter Art. Have a look at some photos from our busy two months…
