Junior Infants have been very busy so far this month.
Our Aistear theme for June is The Airport/Summer. We have been very busy building airport terminals, aeroplanes and runways in the Construction Area. In the Role Play area we are checking-in for our flight, putting tags on our bags, boarding our flight and even flying the plane! Some of us were even treated to a ‘loop the loop’ during our flight! The Creative Art table are mixing colours to create beautiful colours for our bucket and spade art. The children in the Literacy Area are playing reading games on the iPad. In the Fine Motor Area we are practicing our cutting skills. Have a look at our photos;
Library Trip
We also had a trip to the library. Thecla, our lovely librarian, read the book ‘The Grinny Granny Donkey’ to us on our first trip. We are going back soon to take out our own book to read. We cannot wait! Here are some photos of our first trip;
School Book Swap
Ms. Reynold’s organised a book swap in school this month. We brought in a book that we were finished reading and we swapped it for another book. Thank you for organising Ms. Reynolds, we love our ‘new’ books!
