During this month of February we are exploring the theme of Our Locality in classes throughout the school. We’ve invited some local people in to talk to us about aspects of the area – 5th and 6th class really enjoyed their chat with Maurice Cullen on Tuesday – and we’re getting out and about to look at our town and local area. Some classes are going to the Mining Experience, some to the lake shore, some to the amenity area – some are even doing work on local graveyards. It’s a lovely time of year to get out and about so I hope that children and teachers enjoy exploring the locality during these spring days.
